Second edition of this important work which contains 563 reflections on philosophical-political themes. Lottini, described as a heretic, sodomite and addicted to every kind of vice and intrigue, was arrested and subjected to ferocious torture. He died in 1572 and the work was released posthumously in 1574 by his brother Girolamo. See Gamba, 1495.
