Apollonius of Rhodes was a Greek poet born in Alexandria, Egypt in the 3rd century BC. famous for the Argonautica, the epic that tells of the adventures of the Argonaut heroes in search of the Golden Fleece with a narrative style rich in vivid details and romantic elements nourished by a profound knowledge of Greek myths.
