Bologna, Dozza, 1647. In 4th. Frontispiece with weapons of the city of Bologna, initials and woodcut friezes, slight halo, light burnishing, handwritten notations on the guard card, missing the last 6 cards containing the continuation of the "Table of the whole work" which stops at the letter C, coeval parchment binding, manuscript title and author on the smooth spine, on the plates, stains and woodworm work, a gap in the lower part of the spine and on the plates.

First and only edition. Famous treatise on the culinary culture of the century. XVII in which you can find numerous recipes, including many that today we would undoubtedly define as "creative cuisine", suggestions of scenographic dish and detailed descriptions of great dinners and banquets of nobles of the time.
