Raccolta di 42 tavole finemente incise in rame, c.ca 225 x 295, numerate 1- 12, 21-26, 33-50, 63-66, 68 e 69, firmate in lastra in basso a sinistra "Wm Hogarth Inv. pinx", ed a destra la firma di diversi incisori, fioriture diffuse ai margini, e brunitura, qualche macchia, legatura in mezza pelle marrone dell'epoca, al piatto anteriore grande tassello in marocchino rosso con l'iscrizione impressa in oro "Hogarthischen kupferstiche zu lichtenberg's erklärungen", sciupata.

Bella raccolta di incisioni su rame basate sui disegni di Hogarth (1697-1764), che raffigurano visioni satiriche su temi d'attualità, e raccontano i vizi e le virtù della società inglese del Settecento, esprimendo giudizi di valore e rivelando le idee dell'artista sul suo mondo.
