As well-known and unanimously known as a master of landscape, Franco Fontana has devoted just as much attention to the theme of the nude analysed in its most diverse forms. He has tackled it directly in works such as Piscine (Swimming Pools), he has made it appear in more far-reaching research such as Presenzassenza (Presence), he has elaborated it in collages, transfers, and manipulations in Polaroid, he has exalted it as a whole by making bodies dialogue with veils, fabrics, and surfaces, he has captured it in allusive details in Frammenti (Fragments). All this while maintaining a stylistic coherence in which saturated colours are a fundamental element.
