Information

Regno di Sardegna
length 118 cm
Smoothbore, round, 18 mm cal. barrel, with octagonal breech, remains of numbering, clutch for the bayonet. Tang marked "N.14". Lock marked "St. Etienne" with brass pan. Working mechanism. Long, wooden stock in good condition (perhaps a restoration at left edge, near the barrel, and a few woodworm holes) featuring a well-stamped Savoy crowned shield on the right side of the butt stock, on the left side the mark "B+G" and an anchor-shaped mark. On the lower edge of the butt stock a non-clearly legible mark, maybe "J. PATUREL". Brass mounts, trigger guard with non-readable mark, mouthpiece with foresight, marked butt-plate. Iron ramrod. Brass strap loops. With a 47.4 cm-long socket bayonet. Probably a reduction of a 1777 French-model rifle. Rare.
