Wide, very curved, single-and-false-edged blade, made of damask, with wide fuller, engraved with trophies, crescent, stars, cabalistic symbols and floral motifs on almost all its length; short tang. Impressive grip based on the 1855 model. Large, thin iron scabbard with drag and two suspension rings. This could be a hussar officer's sabre from the well-known Hungarian Legion, founded by exiled foreign Garibaldian volunteers, mainly Magyars.
