Boiled-leather helmet with brass mounts, front frieze with the inscription "Leopoldo II", tricolour metal cockade, complete with black horsehair, brown leather sweat-band inside. Epaulettes with gilded plates and fringes made of gilded threads. Including a gold medal "Guerra dell'Indipendenza Italiana 1848", another similar bronze medal, a medal with the effigy of Carlo Alberto and Pius IX, all with their tricolour ribbon. The Tuscan Civic Guard was established in 1847 by Grand Duke Leopold II on the model of the Roman one.
