Notes: Reference 4240, introduced in 1942, was the first Vacheron Constantin full calendar model produced in series. It has been manufactured both with and without moonphases, the former indicated by a letter "L" -for "Lune"- following the reference number. This iconic model was available in different case metals and dial variations, with the present watch featuring a very rare black dial, probably one of the most fascinating versions.
