For the first time in the world, an auction exclusively dedicated to the art of The Lord of the Rings: drawings, illustrations and paintings by the major international artists who have lent their talents to Tolkien's work since the 1960s.

Finarte will offer for sale works by Tim Kirk, David Wenzel, Omar Rayyan, Angelo Montanini, Ralph Bakshi, Stephen Hickman, Philippe Munch, Ivan Cavini, Luca Michelucci, Alan Lee, Greg and Tim Hildebrandt, Roger Garland, Ted Nasmith and many others, in a catalog that will make all fans of Middle-earth dream.

The auction will be preceded by an exhibition in Milan, to offer collectors the opportunity to carefully examine all the lots, presented and enhanced by the splendid setting of our exhibition venue.

Finarte consolidates and renews its collaboration with Urania Casa d’Aste by preparing in synergy the next auction dedicated entirely to the original Tables and Illustrations by the great masters of comics.

The sale will take place in October in the prestigious Roman headquarters of Finarte, for which our experts are selecting works from the early 1900s to today, ranging from Disney tables to superheroes Made in USA, from great international masters to erotic tables, from illustrations of the early twentieth century to the cinematographic sketches.

The works will be presented in the catalog with an accurate historical-critical filing, which tends to present and enhance the individual lots in the best possible way to ensure their visibility and the best sales result. The auction will be preceded by an exhibition in Rome, to offer collectors the opportunity to carefully examine all the lots, presented and enhanced by the splendid setting of our exhibition site.
