Information

The watch design evokes an early example of the geometric mode of painting that Piet Mondrian (Dutch, 1872-1944) called Neo-Plasticism. For Mondrian, Neo-Plasticism was a universal style because its emphasis on planar relationships could be extended not only to painting. but also to design and architecture. In this work he used thick black lines to divide the canvas into 11 rectangles, some of which he painted in primary colors.

New, never used, in excellent condition and with original case

Specialist Notes

Swatch watches are presented as collector's items. After 20 years both plastic and leather straps may have dried out and become too fragile to wear as we cannot guarantee the durability of the strap. The sale is subject to "inspected and found to be acceptable". Each lot is sold as is and must be examined by the prospective buyer.
