dating: circa 1900 provenance: Borneo, Curved, single-edged blade, enlarged toward the weak, grooved under the back, partially carved and engraved, the back with brass and copper crossbars. Typical, carved, bone hilt, the base with vegetable wire binding, pommel with long horsehair tufts. Wooden scabbard carved on the front side, white metal mounts, four small coins (dated) and goat hair. The back made of wood covered with fabric and with suspension strings. Small defects. Malaysia, West Borneo or Sarawak. length 59 cm.
