dating: provenance: Borneo, Beautiful, curved, single-edged blade engraved along its length, finely carved and pierced at the back and at the inner base. Beautiful hilt made of richly carved, deer horn with base covered with vegetable wire binding and decorated with black horsehair. Partially carved, wooden scabbard, held by intertwined plant fibers and provided with a scabbard for a piso raout and with fiber and fabric suspension rope (small damages and missing parts). West Borneo, Sarawak, Malaysia. length 73 cm.
