dating: 19th Century provenance: Sumatra, Solid, single-edged blade enlarging towards the weak, carved base. Horn hilt, carved as a stylized bird's head, eyes mate of metal studs, silver-inlaid ring nut with filigree edges. Fine wooden scabbard with silver-inlaid and copper mounts, tip with rosette. A beautiful sample of a weapon of this kind. length 70.5 cm.
