dating: 19th Century provenance: Sulawesi, Strong, single-edged blade, made of fine pamor, rising toward the triangular tip. Angled, wooden hilt richly carved with floral motifs and stylized head of a dragon decorated with horsehair. Wooden scabbard worked in two halves carved with floral and geometric motifs and bands in vegetable fibre. Sa-dan Toraja. Rare. length 66.5 cm.
