dating: First half of the 20th Century provenance: Borneo, Heavy, single-edged blade strongly enlarging towards the weak, round tip lowered at the back. Brass hilt with fake wire binding and number '1940'. Partially carved, wooden scabbard engraved with decorations, the two halves held by rattan bands. Complete with suspension rope made of vegetable fiber wire binding with closing button carved in the shape of an ancestral figure. North Borneo, Malaysia, Sabah or Sawarak. length 65.3 cm.
