dating: circa 1900 provenance: Borneo, Slightly curved, single-edged blade, rising toward the weak, the back near the hollow tip. At one side brass-inlaid decorations (missing parts) and with fretwork under the back. Rust damage. Typical, carved, bone hilt decorated with horsehair, the base with vegetable wire binding. Wooden scabbard with braided, vegetable fibre bands. Complete with rope partially covered in blue fabric. Disc-shaped, horn pendant. length 56.5 cm.
