dating: End of 19th beginning of 20th Century provenance: Borneo, Beautiful, single-edged blade of the Longglat or Ma Suling, the right side richly decorated with silver-inlaid garlands and circles (small missing parts), the rear part finely carved on the right side, towards the blade. Richly carved and pierced deer-horn hilt decorated with partially colored horse or goat hair, the base covered with vegetable fiber wire binding. Beautiful, carved wooden scabbard decorated with horsehair en suite with the colors of the hily. Complete with piso raout, fiber and fabric suspension rope decorated with colored beads and with a disc-shaped closure button made of shell (Kauri). Borneo, West Kalimantan, Sarawak or Malaysia. length 67 cm.
