Information
Hachi with thirty-two rust-coloured, lacquered, iron ken suji (plates). The top with brass tehen-kanamono. Shikoro with seven Manjyu-style iron plates, decorated en suite with the fukigaeshi. Two maedate, one with gilded kanji on black wooden clouds (modern epoch), the other made of gilded metal with Maru-ni-kajinoha mon. Large fukigaeshi covered with Egawa with the same mon and decorated with star-shaped rivets. Complete with lining, the hachi signed 'Munetake' inside. The kabuto is provided with a Nihon Bugu-Kacchu Hozon-Kennkyu-kai certificate with a "Tokubetsu Kicho-Shiryo" (excellent quality) rating. Middle Edo period, 18th century.
