Two over-and-under, 9 mm cal. barrels. Bore with visible rifling but with pitting and signs of use inside. Eighteen-shot cylinder, double-action working mechanism. Frame marked "E. LEFAUCHEUX INV. BREVETE. Engraved with rocaille, webs and spirals. Folding trigger. Smooth, ebony grip scales. Ring for the strap. Various areas with evident pitting. Various numbering and remains of marks. Complete with an old holster (restored on the bottom). In 1864, Lefaucheux patented a large-capacity revolver to compete with Chaineux's, in the same year he bought the buildings to start the production in Liegi. See 'Les Revolvers a Broche' by J.P.
