length 24,3 cm
Smoothbore, brass, two-stage, octagonal and round barrels, with bell-mouthed nozzle. Iron tangs engraved with leaves and outlines. Locks with slightly-rounded plate signed "AUBRON in Nantes". Working mechanisms (one tending to jam).Wooden full stocks, both with small restoration in the hollow of the handle. Brass mounts, trigger guards and butt plates with small engravings. Simple iron ramrods. Probably Jean Aubron from Nantes (1771-1818 circa), see "Der Neue Stoeckel", Vol. 1 page 36, where also other members of the same family of gunsmiths are documented.
