Nagasa (length 43 cm) with barely visible hamon and hada, copper habaki. Nakago mei Yamato-no-kuni Kanesada with a mekugi-ana. Except for the Menuki (made of shakudo), all mounts are worked with Su-aka copper. Saya with ishimenuri finishing. Koshirae: late Edo period; blade: probably Muromachi. Young Samurai take part in a ceremony known as Genpuku, where they receive their first armour and cold weapon.
