Information

length 30,6 cm
Interesting blade, originally of canonical shape, made by a file and then modified. Worked as a single-and half-edge with a strongly pointed tip, the back with small carvings and notch decorations at the forte; tang strongly tapered at the first part and then widened again at the base forming two wings. Dark horn or ebony grip (crack on one side) decorated with longitudinal grooves. Brass ring nut and cap. Soft leather scabbard with metal mounts. This unusual item is photographed and described in the volume "Il Coltello Genovese" by A. Buti, page 314.
