Made of nade-maru-gata iron, yo sukashi with delicate decoration in fully blossomed cherry blossoms occupies the whole plane evenly, the petal veins are emphasised in thin ke-bori. A perfectly identical tsuba, except for the shape, is described in the Gunsaulus book on page 102 signed by one of the school's best artists. The production belongs to one of the best periods of the school in the late 18th century. The patina is perfectly preserved. Provenance: Dorotheum sale, Vienna, 1996.
