Calibre marking "44 Cal." on the left side. Frame with working mechanism. Saddle ring. Lower tang with serial no. "812xx". Some pitting on the iron parts, especially outside the barrel. Wooden butt and fore-end, both checkered, the latter with restored block on the side of the base.
