Wide, curved, single-and-false-edged blade, with fuller for a good part of its length, bearing on the left side remains of a mark at the base. Also at the base, on the back, marked "Manifacture de Solingen K.S. & C.". Hilt with three brass loop-guards, thick langets, Versailles stamp on the main guard and marks "P" under star, "LF", "L" and "V". Long, smooth, brass cap. Grip without wire binding, with old leather bearing traces of lacquer. Iron scabbard with barely legible marks, two lugs.
