Information

Brescia
length plate 22,4 cm.
Flat, archaic-type lock plate with oblique borders. Tag carved in bas-relief as a monster's head, the front edge engraved and carved like the tang motif. The lower border of the plate featuring a thick frame engraved with leaves and spirals on a hyphened background. Featuring the abbreviation "G B" (maybe another "g" in italics, not clearly legible) inside an oval surrounded by spiral decorations. The two cocks with straight throws, featuring a shaped base and engraved with a fish, the jaws carved and engraved with spirals and leaves at the front side. External rests, screwed on the plate beside the pans and engraved with leaves on a net background. Molded pans, both complete with their sliding cover. The two batteries joint in one forked base and with external spring. Sliding pan covers engraved with leaves. It surely is a very scarce item, with very fascinating mechanisms.
