Wide, slightly curved, single-and-false-edged blade, with wide fuller, marked "E. H. HOLLER SOLINGEN", with mark "BC", on the right side a cursive inscription "Sergt. T. W. Timms. R. M. L. d. November 1890". Bituminous, iron hilt with wide, smooth guard; iron grip, also painted black, with long, smooth cap. Complete with leather scabbard with brass mounts (mark "FC") and brown leather belt frog.
