Three-stage, iron barrel with octagonal breech then with two circular segments ending with rings, circular bell-mouthed nozzle. Crowned marks 'V' and 'P' and an 'R' at the base; a signature with traces of silvering (possibly 'IUNO') on the back. Remains of various gold-inlays decorated with trophies and floral motifs at the breech, the nozzle, the girdles and on the tang. Rounded lock plate decorated with frames, featuring the signature 'G. BANCHI' in the centre. The parts of the fire striker with toothed borders in relief. Working mechanism. Wooden full stock with signs of use and time (fore-end with restoration near the mouthpiece) decorated with fine silver-inlaid spirals at the handle. Silver shield as well as the butt plate, also engraved with trophies, and the trigger guard, with friezes in relief. Tipped, iron ramrod complete with cartridge extractors.
