Long, flat, single-edged blade engraved with the image of a wolf at the forte framed by cabalistic numbers and floral motifs. Silver hilt with countercurved quillons ending in a hound's heads, the center of crossguard with a deer's head, and a ring nut hilt at the base of the blade which perfectly enters the scabbard opening. Cap with a hunting scene and ring nut with trophies. Brown horn grip. Wooden scabbard with leather covering, also decorated with beautiful silver mounts. The chape with a compartment for a gun-fork (probably not coeval, yet it is a good match), the rear side of the hilt with an impressive trophy in relief and a mark for the city of Vienna (the date not clearly legible), with the marks "CA" and "IR." Chape (slightly flattened) decorated with similar trophies and marked en suite.
