Straight, single-edged blade made of very fine damask, areas with rust damage. Carved with writing in bas relief at the base quoting a distich from the preface to Sa'di's Gulistan: "Our goal is a design that should outlive us, Since I see no permanence in existence.", together with invocations of God "ya hannan /ya mannan" ("O Affectionate! O Beneficent!"). At the base of the blade, on the rear part: "ya karim" ("O noble!"). Marine-ivory (walrus) hilt. Wooden scabbard with green leather covering (small damages, missing chape) with a cushion on one side, the upper part covered with a green-cloth rope.
