height without base circa 174 cm.
Elegant, closed, horse helmet provided with skull with outlined, longitudinal fluted decorations and fullers, with low, roped comb worked with a fine spiral featuring well-outlined coils, two holes at the top (for the crest?). Intact visor worked with four transversal bands with raisers and strongly cusped at the center, all provided with rectangular air holes on the upper side, the upper part with two eye-slots. The right side of the visor provided with handle and loop for the fixing hook. Beaver with visor hook and release pressure button. Neck guard worked in one piece with the beaver and provided with twisted rope. The upper part of the nape guard in one piece with the skull, the other two plates are movable and riveted with a rope with the same the design as the neck guard. Skull, beaver and visor, in the areas where the various elements constituting the helmet join and have a ìVî-shape structure, feature a slightly-relieved raiser outlining the element. With iron plume-holder at the back. The helmet features a uniform patina inside and all the rivets that originally featured it have remains of the antique leather. Neck-collar with four plates, neckline with rope, outlined longitudinal fluted decorations at the front alternated to fullers. Beautiful breastplate of rounded shape with thick and well-relieved, roped neckline, the upper part is smooth and followed by another rope crossing the breastplate from left to right, the central area with longitudinal fluted decorations and fullers, another rope edges the central ornament on the lower part. With concave, folding, German-style lance rest on the right side and decorated with thick fluted decoration in relief, rayed base. Coeval neck-plate almost completely covered with fluted decorations. Three culet plates decorated en suite. Big backpiece with tassets featuring with longitudinal fluted decorations and lower ropes. Complete brassards en suite with longitudinal glutted decorations. Pauldrons provided with wide throat guards fixed with rivets. The right pauldron with slot for the lance rest. Inarticulated gauntlets with festooned plates. Complete full-leg defense, Cuissards and knee-cops with longitudinal fluted decorations and ropes. Smooth greaves, ribbed at the center. The sabatons feature the decorative pattern of the armour.
