Heavy, smoothbore, iron, 40 mm cal barrel of almost cylindrical shape, provided with moulded muzzle at the nozzle with small sight. Large breech shaped as a parallelepiped. Mechanism integrated in the grip. Dorsal hammer slightly towards right. Missing piston. Working mechanism. Wooden grip (with small damage and woodworm holes) reinforced with iron. Iron trigger guard. Complete with gun-fork featuring an assembly pin. Probably to be assembled on the side of a vessel or for similar uses. Rare and interesting type.
