Slightly round and curved lock-plate, finely decorated with grotesque masks and snakes in relief, the cock worked in relief with various pierced masks and snakes' heads. The upper jaw and the back of the cock are engraved and carved. The bottom of the pan is completely carved. The pan cover and part of the mechanism at the back are missing. The batterie is finely sculpted and pierced en suite, worked with grotesque protome at the base. The screws' heads worked as masks. Dated and signed "IL NEGRONI . CASALECCHIO 1794" at the back. The remaining parts of the mechanisms are engraved as leaves and dragon's head.
