Wayne Mark Rooney (Liverpool, 24 October 1985) is considered one of the best English centre forwards in the history of football and is the top scorer in the history of Manchester United, having scored 253 goals in 559 official appearances. Before linking his name to the Red Devils, he made his debut with Everton. He then played for the Manchester club for thirteen seasons, winning five Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, four Football League Cups, six Community Shields, one UEFA Champions League, one UEFA Europa League and one FIFA Club World Cup. With the England national team he is the second best scorer of all time, preceded by Harry Kane. He also played with them three World Cups (2006, 2010 and 2014) and three European Championships (2004, 2012 and 2016).
