Marion Ross is an American actress who achieved fame and public adoration for her role as Marion Cunningham in the popular television series "Happy Days". With her sweet and motherly performance, Marion Ross has won the hearts of millions of viewers and has become an icon of American television.
Marion Ross was born on October 25, 1928, in Watertown, Minnesota. She developed a love for acting at a young age and began performing in local and school plays. After high school, she studied acting at San Diego State University and later attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
After appearing in numerous plays and television shows throughout the 1950s and 1960s, Marion Ross landed the role that would change her life: that of Marion Cunningham on "Happy Days." The series, which ran from 1974 to 1984, chronicled an American family in the 1950s and 1960s and became a cultural phenomenon. Marion Ross played the doting and caring mother, becoming one of the show's most beloved characters.
In addition to her unforgettable role on "Happy Days," Marion Ross has had a prolific television career, appearing in numerous series and films. She has starred in "The Drew Carey Show," "Brothers & Sisters," "Gilmore Girls," and many more.
