Information

Everlast red boxing glove signed by boxer George Foreman with JSA certification. The boxing glove also has Foreman's sticker marking it as an official product.
George Edward Foreman was born in Marshall, Texas, on January 10, 1949. His childhood was not easy, marked by poverty and abandonment. He approached boxing at the age of 15, finding in the sport a discipline and a way of redemption. In 1968, at just 19 years old, he won the gold medal at the Mexico City Olympics in the heavyweight category.
He turned professional the following year and his rise was unstoppable. Gifted with exceptional punching power and an imposing physique, Foreman earned the nickname "Big George". In 1973 he won the world heavyweight title by defeating Joe Frazier in a very tough match. He successfully defended the title for two years, defeating high-level opponents such as Ken Norton and Jimmy Young.
In 1974, he suffered his first career defeat against Muhammad Ali in the historic "Rumble in the Jungle" match in Zaire. The match was legendary and marked a turning point in the careers of both boxers. Foreman, discouraged and tried by the defeat, decided to retire from boxing.
After a ten-year absence from the ring, Foreman returned to fight in 1987. At 38, he still showed amazing form and won the world heavyweight title again by defeating Evander Holyfield in a very tough match. He thus became the oldest boxer to win a world title, a record he still holds today.
He defended the title for three years before finally retiring in 1997. After retiring, Foreman went on to successfully pursue a business career, becoming famous for his line of barbecue grills.
