Mickey Rourke (Schenectady, September 16, 1952), is an American actor who remained in the collective imagination for his participation in the film9 ½ weeks (1986). He also participated in other cult films such asRusty the wild (1983),The Year of the Dragon (1985),Angel Heart - Elevator to Hell (1987),Sin City (2005),The Wrestler(2008), a film for which he received an Oscar nomination for best actor. During his youth he practiced boxing and had a brief experience as a professional boxer in the nineties.
