Massimo Oddo (Pescara, 14 June 1976) is an Italian footballer, a defender, world champion with the Italian national team in 2006. He made his professional debut at Fiorenzuola, in Serie C1 in 1995. In 1999 he moved to Napoli, with whom Oddo played played in the 1999-2000 Serie B championship (36 appearances and one goal) obtaining promotion to Serie A. In the summer of 2000 Oddo moved permanently to Verona, with whom he made his debut in Serie A. In 2002, after the Verona's relegation to Serie B, Oddo was purchased by Lazio. He remained in the capital for 4 and a half years, playing 172 matches in which he scored 17 goals. With Lazio Oddo won an Italian Cup in 2003-2004. He then played for Milan, Bayern Munich and Lecce. Oddo made his senior national team debut on 21 August 2002, at the age of 26, in the Italy-Slovenia friendly match. He is currently a football coach.
