William Brady, known as Liam (Dublin, 13 February 1956), is a former Irish footballer, who played as a midfielder. He made his professional football debut in 1973 with the Arsenal shirt where he remained for 3 years. With the London team he won the FA Cup in 1978-1979, playing in the finals of the same in both 1977-1978 and 1979-1980. With the London club he also reached the final of the Cup Winners' Cup in 1979-1980, losing against the Spanish side Valencia. In the summer of 1980 he became the first foreign player purchased by Juventus after the reopening of Italian football to foreigners. With the Turin team he won two consecutive championships, in the 1980-1981 and 1981-1982 seasons. He wore the Ireland shirt for fifteen years, between the 1970s and 1980s. In fact, closed after Michel Platini's arrival in Turin, he moved to Sampdoria. Then he moved to Inter and subsequently to Ascoli where he participated in the victory of a Mitropa Cup in 1986-1987.
