Leonardo Bonucci (Viterbo, 1 May 1987) is an Italian footballer, defender and captain of Juventus and the Italian national team. In his career he won nine Serie A championships, including one with Inter in 2005-2006 and eight with Juventus (six consecutive from 2011-2012 to 2016-2017 and another two in the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 seasons ), the latter club with which he has been linked for most of his career and with which he has also won four Italian Cups (three consecutively from 2014-15 to 2016-17 and again in 2020-21) and five League Super Cups (2012 , 2013, 2015, 2018 and 2020), also playing in two UEFA Champions League finals (2015 and 2017); previously, with the Nerazzurri team he had won, at youth level, a Primavera Championship (2006-07) and a Primavera Italian Cup (2005-06). With the national team he triumphed at the traveling European Championship Europa 2020; among other placings, he was a finalist at the 2012 Poland-Ukraine European Championship and third place at both the 2013 Brazil Confederations Cup and the 2020-2021 and 2022-2023 editions of the UEFA Nations League. He also took part in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and 2014 in Brazil and in the 2016 European Championship in France.
