Jerry Lewis (Newark, March 16, 1926 – Las Vegas, August 20, 2017) was one of the most important American comedians who formed a highly successful artistic partnership with Dean Martin. He then embarked on a solo career as an actor and director starting in the 1960s. Among his most famous films: Cinderella, The Idol of Women, The Hollywood Matador (both 1961), Jerry 8¾ (1964) and his masterpiece, The Crazy Night of Doctor Jerryll (1963). He has two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
