Giorgio Chiellini (Pisa, 14 August 1984) is an Italian footballer, defender of Los Angeles FC. With the Italian national team he became European champion in 2021. Raised in Livorno, he linked his career to Juventus, a club for which he played continuously from 2005 to 2022 and with which he won a record nine consecutive Serie A championships (from 2011-12 to 2019-20), five Italian Cups (including a record four consecutive from 2014-15 to 2017-18 and again in 2020-21), five League Super Cups (2012, 2013, 2015, 2018 and 2020) and a Serie B championship (2006-07), also reaching two UEFA Champions League finals (2015 and 2017). He also boasts the victory of an MLS Supporters' Shield and an MLS Cup (2022) with Los Angeles FC, with whom he also reached a CONCACAF Champions League final (2023). With the national team he triumphed, on the occasion as captain, at the Europa 2020 traveling European championship; among other placings, he was a finalist at the 2012 Poland-Ukraine European Championship and third place at the 2013 Brazil Confederations Cup and the 2020-2021 UEFA Nations League. He also took part in the world championships in South Africa 2010 and Brazil 2014, in the European championships in Austria-Switzerland 2008 and France 2016 and in the Confederations Cup in South Africa 2009.
