Ginger Rogers, pseudonym of Virginia Katherine McMath (Independence, July 16, 1911 – Rancho Mirage, April 25, 1995), was an American actress, singer and dancer. She is mainly known for having starred in several musicals produced in the 1930s by RKO Pictures, together with Fred Astaire. He also appeared on television and radio, spanning much of the 20th century. The American Film Institute ranked Rogers fourteenth among the greatest stars in film history.
