Gianfranco Zola (Oliena, 5 July 1966) is an Italian footballer, considered one of the strongest Italian strikers of all time. After starting out in Sardinia with Nuorese and Torres, Zola wore the shirts of Napoli (where he played with Maradona, winning the scudetto in 1989-1990), Parma and Chelsea, before returning to the island and ending his career with Cagliari. At international level he was the winner of a UEFA Cup, a Cup Winners' Cup and two UEFA Super Cups. With the Italian national team he was world vice champion in 1994 and participated in the 1996 European Championship. In total he scored 10 goals in 35 appearances with the Azzurri shirt.
