Giancarlo Antognoni (Marsciano, 1 April 1954) is a former Italian footballer, who played a midfielder. World champion with the Italian national team in 1982. Flag and captain of Fiorentina between the 70s and 80s of the 20th century, with whom he played his entire professional career in Italy (he closed his career in Switzerland, in Lausanne), among the Viola players hold the attendance records in all competitions, with 429 games, and in Serie A, with 341 games. With 73 games in blue he is also the Fiorentina player with the most appearances for the national team, with 7 goals scored.
