Diego Alberto Milito (Bernal, 12 June 1979) is a former Argentine footballer, who played as a forward. During his career he won two Argentine championships (Apertura 2001 and 2014), an Italian championship (2009-2010), two Italian Cups (2009-2010, 2010-2011), an Italian Super Cup (2010), a Champions League ( 2009-2010) and a Club World Cup (2010). With the Argentine national team he participated in two editions of the Copa América (2007 and 2011) and one of the world championship (2010). In Italy he wore the Genoa shirts (with 24 goals he is the best seasonal scorer in the history of Genoa in Serie A) and Inter.With the Nerazzurri on 5 May 2010 he scored the decisive goal in the Italian Cup final against Roma, thus winning his first title with Inter. On the 16th of the same month, in the 0-1 win against Siena, he scored the goal that gave Inter the Scudetto. On the 22nd he scored the decisive brace in the Champions League final played in Madrid against Bayern Munich in Inter's 0-2 defeat, giving the Nerazzurri the Cup that had been missing for forty-five years. Milito ended the season with 30 goals in 52 games, winning the treble with the Nerazzurri team, the first, and currently only, to do so in Italy.
