Literature
Dennis Keith Rodman (Trenton, May 13, 1961) is a former American basketball player. In his career he won five NBA titles, the league's leading rebounder and twice the league's best defender award, but he is also known for his eccentric way of behaving on and off the court. Counted as one of the best NBA players of all time, Rodman was noticed by the Detroit Pistons, who drafted him in the second round of the 1986 NBA draft. In 1989 and 1990 he won the best defender award. In 1989 the Pistons defeated the Chicago Bulls in the Conference final and won their first NBA ring against the Lakers. In 1990 the script was similar: the Pistons won against the Bulls in the Eastern Conference finals, won their second title, this time against the Portland Trail Blazers, and Rodman again won the best defender award. The Pistons also set a franchise record for wins in the regular season, 63. In the 1993 offseason, Rodman was traded to the San Antonio Spurs where he remained for two years before moving to the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls, with Rodman and the return of Michael Jordan, won 25 more games than the previous season, going from 47 to 72 and setting the record for victories in the NBA, which remained unbeaten until the 2015-2016 season. He was included in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, one of the highest honors in international basketball, in 2011.
