Doctor by profession, photographer by passion, Arrigo Orsi was distinguished by two photographic genres completely distant from each other, but evidently complementary for him. On one hand, in fact, his images are classical ones such as the one depicting miners, but on the other hand he has devoted himself to a research that is strongly influenced by the lessons of the Bauhaus and the historical avant-gardes. Thus he created off-camera images and photograms where an geometrism emerges.
