On 21 September 1969, the historic centre of Como was the scene of an extraordinary artistic event so radical in its design that it could only be described as an event. Curated by Luciano Caramel, Ugo Mulas and Bruno Munari, 'Campo Urbano. Aesthetic Interventions in the Urban Collective Dimension" involved a group of artists including Luciano Fabro, Bruno Molli, Franca Sacchi, Bruno Munari, Ugo La Pietra, Enrico Baj, Giuseppe Chiari, Gianni Colombo, Valentina Berardinone, Francesco Somaini, Ico Parisi, Gianni Pettena, Dadamaino and Ugo Mulas, who wanted to bring a reflection, not theoretical, but performative, to the common people who were directly involved (we are in the noblest atmosphere of 1968 and we can feel it...). ) a non-theoretical but performative reflection in the fields of art, architecture, design and music.
